For Yeon Choi, making art is a way of tracing her life and healing her soul. It's a personal and poetic process. Her work, therefore, is essentially autobiographical and comes from her experiences as well as her dreams, imagination and subconscious. Yeon Choi is an Assistant Professor of Visual Arts department at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, LA. She was awarded Artist Fellowship from the State of Louisiana in 2003.
